A Celebration of Life for Connie Oneta Slagle, formerly of Gainesville, was held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 20th at Meador-Clement-Keel Chapel with family members officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Slagle died Friday, January 18, 2013 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab Center in Grapevine at the age of eighty-nine .Connie was born March 27, 1923 in Eldorado, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Slagle, is survived by sons, Ronald Anthony (Tony) Slagle of Denton, and Charles Patrick Slagle and wife, Paula of Euless; daughters, Dowleen Slagle Molsbee and husband, Allan of Lake Forest, IL and Dr. Tisha Anne Slagle of Denton; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; half-brother, Willard Griffin of Seattle, WA and two cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mildred Griffin; husband, Dow Slagle and sister, Chloe Griffin Nolan.
