Mabel Colleen “Coleen” Cooley, 83, of Denton, TX, formerly of Blue Springs, MO, passed away January 22nd, 2013. A memorial services will be at 3:00 pm on January 26, 2013 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home 705 N. Locust in Denton, TX. Family visitation will be prior to the service at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cooley was born March 23, 1929 in Nevada, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Neil E. Davis on April 19, 1948 and to this union three children, Don, Mark, and Carol were born. Husband Neil met an untimely death on November 27, 1965.She married John Hunter Cooley, a widower with four children, on May 30, 1970. John Hunter passed away November 28, 1998.
Preceding her in death are parents Orlando and Mary Eatwell; Neil E. Davis and John Hunter Cooley; and brother, George Eatwell.
She was a member of Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church in Blue Springs, MO; Order of the Eastern Star, and Beta Sigma Phi.
Left to mourn her passing are sons: Don R. Davis and wife Ramona of Denton, TX; Mark A. Davis of Bonham, TX; John H. Cooley Jr. of Delta, CO; Ralph H. Cooley and wife Connie, of Moscow, ID; and Herb P. Cooley and wife Rica of Universal City, TX; daughters: Carol B. Davis Swafford of Bonham, TX; and Carolyn L. Cooley Waksman and husband Sol of Fairfield, IA.; and daughter in law, Susan Houk of Ft. Collins, CO; sisters: Marilynn Wilkening and Rowena Nelson and sisters in law: Lois Davis and Freda Eatwell; fourteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
