Graveside services for Jessie Mae Gromatzky, 91, of Chandler will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 12:30 P.M. in the Old Alton Cemetery in Denton with Rev. Danny Bristow officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gromatzky was born on May 26, 1921 in Argyle to Jess and Vesta Milligan Burch and passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and six brothers.
Mrs. Gromatzky is survived by her husband, Melvin Gromatzky; son, Lance E. Armstrong, Sr. and wife, Toyah; daughter Cheryl Marten and husband, Rusty; two step-daughters, Carolyn Morgan and husband, Dean and Lynda Shira and husband Bo; five granddaughters; Elizabeth Brand and husband, Kevin; Dawn Darwin and husband, Mark; Leslie Hale and husband Frankie; Lacy Redman and husband, Alan and Shannon Oldham and husband, Tony; two grandsons; Jim Waldrop and wife Kristin and Lance Armstrong, Jr., and wife Leah; twenty two great grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Lloyd James Funeral Home. An additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:30 A.M to 12:30 P.M. prior to the graveside service, at the Hickory Creek Chapel adjacent to the cemetery.
