Esther Lubbers

Esther Lubbers, age 84, of Pilot Point, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Season’s Hospice in Denton, Tx. She was born November 12, 1928 in Gunter, Tx to Louis Henry and Ella Suter Schroeder. She married Edward James Lubbers on January 7, 1948 and was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point.

Rosary will be at 6:30pm with visitation following from 7:00 - 8:30pm at the Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Pilot Point. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 10:30 am at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point. Burial will follow at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Cemetery.

Esther is survived by her daughters, Brenda Lubbers of Pilot Point, Paula Whitfield and husband David of Mt. Vernon, Sharon Brewer and husband Ray of Collinsville; granddaughters, Jamie Hundley and husband Mike of Paris, Sarah Schon and husband Shane of Pilot Point; great grandchildren, Ethan Hundley, Layne Hundley, Addyson Schon and Maddyson Schon; seven step-grandsons; one step granddaughter; ten step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Marvin Schroeder of Pilot Point and Alvin Schroeder of Southmayd. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed; son, Larry Ray; and brothers, Oscar, John, Lee, and Harry Schroeder. On-line condolences may be shared at
