DorRene Cook, 77, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister took the Lord’s hand and went home Monday, March 4, 2013. The memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, March 9 at the Donnell Farm on the river in Seymour, Texas.

DorRene was born April 27, 1935 in Oakland, California to the late Russell Farrell and Anna Speth Farrell. She graduated from Edmonds High School in Edmonds, Washington in 1952. She married Robert E. Cook on January 7, 1955 and moved to Texas. She was employed with GTE in Seymour and Denton, retiring in December 1994. DorRene lived for her family. Nothing brightened her day more than seeing one of her “babies”. Each and every one of them held a special place in her heart. Nana will truly be missed by all.

DorRene was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Pauline Costa, brother, Howard Costa, and granddaughter, Dayna Shreve.

Survivors include her sister, Renee Pearson and husband Jerry, of Canby, Oregon; “Mom” Juanice Cook of Rising Star, Texas; her children, Robert H. Cook (Bobby) and wife Mary of Marble Falls, Texas; Diane Walker and husband Tony of Azle, Texas; Vicki Fletcher and husband Eddy of Cedar Creek, Texas; and Douglas Cook of Denton, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great- grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
