Troy Don Sparks, 57, of Krugerville, Texas passed away in Dallas on Thursday, March 14, 2013.He was born on December 21, 1955 in Dallas, Texas. Troy was the son of Charlie Frank Sparks and Dorothie Irene Jameson Sparks. He was a self-employed as a painter.

Visitation will be Monday, March 18, 2013 at Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Slay Memorial Funeral Center beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Sam Redfearn officiating. Levi Sparks, Dennis Sparks, Lee McFarling, David Bittle, Buster Chandler, Steve Atkins, Randy Atkins, and Wesley Stewart will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Smokey Kruger, Bob Alford, Ronnie Atkins, Eddie Vallier and Cameron Stewart.

Troy is survived by his mother Dorothie Sparks of Krugerville; one sister, Tracye Stewart and husband, Wesley Stewart; niece, Leslie Pipher and husband James; nephew, Cameron Stewart and great-nephew Jacob Pipher of Clovis, New Mexico.He is also survived by four aunts; Bonnie Whitworth of Fort Worth, Wanda Sparks of Glen Rose, Janie Sparks of Joshua, Mary Lois Kruger and husband Smokey of Krugerville; cousins, Levi and Linda Sparks of Rowlett, Dennis and Brenda Sparks of Glen Rose, Leslie and Toni Sparks of Glen Rose, Mark and Becky Stahl of Garland, Dianne Sparks of Alvarado, David and Judy Bittle of Krugerville, Becky Sessions of Aubrey, Buster and Vickie Chandler of Pilot Point, Donnie and Carla Blevins of New Mexico, Lee and Jo Helen McFarling of Aubrey; and many other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Franks Sparks.

Services are under the direction of Terri Slay and Slay Memorial Funeral Center, Aubrey.
