Jack Karr, age 85, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the lord Saturday, March 30, 2013 in Corinth, Texas.
Jack was born June 24, 1927 in Howard, Kansas, to Stanley and Bertha Karr. He was retired from Ferguson Manufacturing after 32 years; served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War; and was a member of West Side Baptist Church. He loved creating things with his hands including woodworking, metal working, and mechanic work. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Karr; two brothers, Hubert Karr, Cecil Karr; and a sister, Geneva Tulley.
He is survived by one daughter, Gail Henderson of Aubrey, Texas; three brothers, Jesse Karr of Atlanta, Texas, Cleo Karr of Conroe, Texas, Austin Karr of Magnolia, Texas; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Westside Baptist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Jim Howard officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
Interment will be at Bethsaida "Y" Cemetery, Bivins, Texas.
