Kathleen Haren, 83, of Denton passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. She was born in McKinney, Texas on December 11, 1929 the daughter of Charles and Opal (Moore) Alexander. Kathleen went to join her husband James Olan Haren who preceded her in death in June of 2010. The couple was married in Denton, Texas and were married for 45 years. They traveled extensively for 15 years in their motor home spending time in almost every state on the map after retirement before settling down again in their home on the Texas Gulf Coast.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter Mary Hansel and son-in-law Keith Hansel, son Travis Haren, granddaughter Christy Hansel and partner Piper Davis, granddaughter Regina Karlson, grandson Lonnie Alexander and wife Dacia, and grandson Coulter Haren. Great grandchildren Harris Davis-Hansel, Michael, Dalina, and Brent Alexander, Dalton and Dallas Karlson. She is also survived by her sisters Nancy Millichamp and Charlene Townsend.
She is preceded in death by her husband James Olan Haren, son Eugene Alexander, and grandson Bobby Alexander.
Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in a private graveside service at a later date where she and James Olan will be interred together.
