Services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 10 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 633 Hobson Ln., Denton, TX 76205. Rev. John Peel will officiate the service. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 8, 2013 between 6-8 PM at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St, Denton, TX 76201. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Born Donald Seaton Tebbetts on May 12, 1929 in Palestine, TX to C. Raymond and Gladys Leanna Tebbetts. He spent his childhood in the Houston and South Texas areas, moving to Breckenridge, TX after graduating high school. He served in the US Air Force Strategic Air Command for 4 years stationed at Davis Montham Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ.

He graduated from North Texas University in 1957 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a few years later received a Master's degree in Library Science, also from UNT. He spent his professional career as a librarian, most of those years at Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID, moving back to Texas after retirement in 1996.

He married Jeanne Anne Bridges of Denton, TX on June 4, 1957. Survived by his wife, Jeanne; daughter, Amy Hoover and son-in-law Martin of Denton, TX; brother, Raymond Tebbetts and wife Letha of Bridgeport, TX; sisters-in-law, Josephine Herriott and Dorothy Cooney of Plano, TX and Mary Cato of Copperas Cove, TX, along with several nieces and nephews.

Don loved to garden, reading about history - especially stories about World War II and their airplanes; he was also an animal lover.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to all his caregivers over the past two years, 1st Choice Home Health Care, Willow Bend Assisted Living and Ardent Hospice, especially Becky Klepper and Jim Riley, all your actions have made a lasting impact on our hearts.
