Troy Lynn Scott of Krum, TX went to his home in heaven on May 10, 2013 after a 2 ½ year battle with colon cancer.

He was born September 14, 1967 in Fontana, CA to the late Kay Dean Scott and Patricia A. Sides. He graduated from Marcus High School, Lewisville, TX in 1986. He worked as a young man on the ranch owned by the Hamilton’s in Argyle and began working at Haggar Clothing Company in 1988, where he currently was employed as a Senior Facility Technician.

Troy was a man of many talents; he owned and operated “Scott’s Handyman Service” for the past 13 years as his side business and made many friends. He had a love for a beautiful home and yard. He and his wife spent many hours in their yard; some told him it was like looking at pictures in a magazine.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lois Lewin Scott of Krum; son, Christopher Lynn Scott, son, Randy Stanford Jr. and wife Shelly, both of Krum, TX; daughters, Rachael Lynn King and husband Alex of Arlington, TX; one precious granddaughter, Hannah Rose King; 4 step grandchildren, Tyler King, Riley King, Madison Sinku, Riley Perales; brother, Edward Scott and wife Dori of Oklahoma City, OK, brother, Bryan Scott and wife Suzie of Dallas, TX; and the most loving parents; Tommy and Patricia Sides of Denton, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Kay Dean Scott. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, May 13, 2013 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX. Jason Hicks will officiate the service.

Memorials may be made in memory of him to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Tulsa, OK; where he received his treatment.
