Leslie Allen Dick, 85 of Gulfport, MS, lost his battle with cancer on Sunday April 28, 2013 at Keesler Air Force Base Hospital in Biloxi,MS.

Visitation will be from 6:30 -7:30 tonight, Thursday, May 16 at DeBerry Funeral Directors.

Leslie Dick will receive full Military Honors at DFW National Cemetery. Services are May 17 at 11:15am. They ask that you arrive by10:50am.

Leslie was born May 7, 1927 in Frisco, TX to Alonzo and Lillie Dick. He joined Merchant Marines in 1944 at the age of 17. He served 2 yrs in the Army Ready Reserve, May 15, 1951 - Aug 2, 1953. Leslie retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years service from May 15, 1951 Aug, 31 1971.

Survivors include sister, Pauline Staton of Dallas; nephews, David Patterson of Denton, Louis Dick of TX, Billie Flanagan of TX, Gary Staton of Hockessin,DE: nieces, Lucille Harris of Denison, Carol DeBault of Leawood, KS, Sue Walters of Gainesville, Margie Hamm of Longview, Linda Billings of Walnut, MS and Shirley Hagberg of Bedford.

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Odillia Viola, sister; Oneita Owens, brother; AW Dick and nephew; Richard Patterson.

Leslie was a wonderful, caring man who enjoyed family and friends, working crossword puzzles, jig saw puzzles, Rubics Cube and other brain challenging games.
