Cecil Carroll "Jasper" Wilson

Cecil Carroll "Jasper" Wilson, age 70, died at his home in Aubrey June 27, 2013.  He was born August 18, 1942 to Herschell and Dollie Byrom Wilson in Aubrey.  He served in the US Army as a medic and retired fromVictor Equipment Company after 42 years as a quality control inspector.  He married Sara Ellen Owens, Janaury 25, 1980 and they were married for 24 years.  Jasper loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and his cattle.  He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.  During retirement he spent his days working in the hay field with Kalon.  Visitation will be Monday evening, July 1, 2013 at the Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey from 6:00-8:00pm. 

Funeral services will be Tuesday morning, July 2. 2013 at First Baptist Church in Krugerville at 9:00 am with burial following at Belew Cemetery. 

Jasper is survived by two sons, Jason Wilson and Kalon Wilson of Aubrey; daughter, Kathy Wilson of Sanger; granddaughter, Brooklyn Ellen Wilson of Aubrey; brothers, Kenneth Wilson of Denton, and Montey Wilson of Pilot Point; sisters, Nell Bell of Aubrey, Carolyn McCandless of Pilot Point, and Jo Anderson of Double Oak; niece, Shirely Sturm of Denton, and other numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sara; sister Oleta “Punk” Wilson;  brothers, Floyd "Tutor", Harold "Harley", Donnie, Jearl, and Buck.
