Daryl Alan Stewart, 52, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 in Denton. He was a man of faith, a devoted husband and father. Daryl was born in Coffeeville, Kansas. He was a graduate of Denton High School, University of North Texas and UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. He was an Eagle Scout in Troop 140 and an honored member of the Order of the Arrow.

He trained and completed his residency in Little Rock, AR and moved to Denton in 2002 to set up his medical practice. Daryl enjoyed his profession as a surgeon, fly fishing, hunting and coaching youth baseball. Daryl supported many mission groups including Man 2 Man Ministries, Big Horn Ministries and other local mission groups. He attended Denton Bible Church.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013from 6:00-7:30pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of the Denton Bible Church with Rev. Glen Dry and Rev. Spencer Nichols officiating. He will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Man to Man Ministries, P.O. Box 4629, Victoria, Texas 77903 or to Big Horn Ministries, 9088 CR 76, Ohio City, Colorado 81237.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the many patients whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth W. Stewart and is survived by his wife of 30 years, Leslie Stewart; sons, Spencer and Lane Stewart; daughter, Audrey Stewart; mother, Francene Stewart; sister, Dana Ledford and brother, Dwight Stewart.
