Irene Ruby Joy, affectionately known as "Mamoo", passed away on July 21, 2013 at the age of 87. She was born on August 12, 1925 in Canton, Texas to James Arthur and Laura Ellen (Beason) Youngblood. She was a member of the graduating Class of 1943 from Canton High School and then attended Secretarial School in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was employed by US Steel Corporation in Dallas from 1944 to 1965.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Paul of Sanger and her three grandchildren, Kristen Hammons, Greg Hammons and Jeremy Hammons. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Laura Youngblood and her two sisters, Inas Curran and Inez Phillips.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, July 24, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Coker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Sanger with burial at the Sanger Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Greg Hedges, Rodney Dillon, Tim Hammons, Greg Hammons, Jeremy Hammons, and Cody Mierop. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Trent Lawler and Ted Anderson.

Coker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
