Kaylee Mae Kampschroeder, 8, of Krugerville, died Saturday, July 27, 2013. Kaylee was born September 13, 2004 in Denton, TX, to Kerry and Michelle Pettus Kampschroeder.

Kaylee was a wonderful daughter, athlete, student, and friend. She always wanted to help others. She loved pets, horses, bike rides, and reading. She would sit and have conversations with strangers. She delivered Meals on Wheels with her mom and sister and made many elderly friends. Her family and friends will miss her.

She is survived by her parents; sister, Keslyn Ray Kampschroeder and brother, Kade David Kampschroeder both of Krugerville; maternal grandmother, Wanda Pettus of Portales, NM; paternal grandparents, David and Janet Kampschroeder of Amarillo; aunts, Shawnie Archuleta of Rockwall; Kendi Jo Fiscus and husband Bryan of Derby, KS; Katrina Taylor and husband Trenton of Amarillo; Janet Shearer and husband Larry of Portales, NM; and cousins, Tabatha, Zachary, Teah, and Truett Taylor, Lindsey and Lauren Archuleta, Jenna, Creed, Natalie, Kaytie, and Paige Fiscus. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather James Pettus.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 6:30-8:00PM at Slay Memorial Funeral Chapel in Aubrey. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 starting at 10:00AM at Denton Bible Chapel in Denton. Donations may be made to Denton Bible Church's Children's Ministry or Serve Ministry, 2300 E. University, Denton, TX 76209. Special online condolences can be made at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com.
