Wanda Lee Redfearn LaGrone of Aubrey went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 28, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Cancer may have taken her physical life, but had no victory over her eternal life. There is a reunion in heaven with her parents, Hardy Bailey & Lavada Elizabeth Redfearn, her brothers Gene and Jack Redfearn, and her granddaughter Kelsea Rae Parrent. Wanda was born in Aubrey, Texas on May 25, 1946; she was 67 years old.

Wanda had a strong love for the Lord and her family. She loved spending time with her five children, her eleven grandchildren and her great-granddaughter. She loved to read, reminisce with family and friends and cook. She looked forward to the "Redfearn Family Reunion" each year.

Wanda was a very hard and dedicated worker. She was employed by Denton County for a total of 23 years, retiring on March 12, 2010. She made great friends and touched the lives of many.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Renae Corple and husband Steve of Sanger, Lerae Parrent and husband Jeff of Krugerville, Starla Alambar and husband Norman of Aubrey, Patsi Cassidy and husband Patrick of Ponder; son, Hardy Starr and wife April of Era; eleven grandchildren, Jessica & Lance Corple, Kaleb, Carlee, Clay & Kenzie Parrent, Norman & Nolan Alambar, Zane & Berkley Cassidy, Lane Starr; and one great-granddaughter, Remington Mills. She is also survived by four brothers and sisters, Billy Ray Redfearn of Collinsville, Dorothy Erwin of Pilot Point, Barbara Looper of Celina, and Sam Redfearn of Aubrey.

Visitation will be held at Slay Memorial Funeral Center on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 6:00-8:00pm. The funeral will be held at First Baptist Church Krugerville located at 5021 Hwy 377 in Krugerville on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 10:00am with burial to follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey immediately following the funeral.
