Patsy Ruth Crossland Walden, 81, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at North Fort Worth Baptist Church. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Patsy was born July 8, 1932. She was the oldest child of P.H. and Zella (Willis) Crossland. She married J.D. Walden on May 24, 1953. They were married in Oklahoma and shortly after, they moved to Texas. Jack and Patsy were the proud parents of two daughters; Dr. Jacci Gayle Walden and Joni Beth Walden Taylor. They were blessed with three grandchildren; Tiffany Marie, Tyler Marc and Tory Beth; and six great-grandchildren. Patsy taught primarily fourth grade at North Castleberry Elementary School for 32 years and retired in 1986. She was a dedicated educator and enjoyed the many students she taught over the years.
Patsy lost her beloved husband of 33 years in July 1989.
Survivors: Three younger sisters, Betty Dobelbower of Tulsa, Emma Noak of Caney and Cleta Ammons of Durrant; two daughters, Dr. Jacci Walden of Denton and Joni Walden Taylor of Frederick; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
