Marlene "Marti" A. (Moll) Hunter-Powers died peacefully on Aug 20, 2013 at Corinth Rehabilitation and Suites in Corinth, Texas with her daughter and sister by her side. Marlene was born on September 9th, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan to Walter and Edna Moll (deceased). She is survived by her loving son David A. Hunter and grandson Keith Hunter, daughter Dawn (Joseph) Bostwick and their three children Adrian, Wesley and Marlena Bostwick and a great grand-daughter Emma. Also surviving her include best friend and loving father to her children, Alan J. Hunter, sister Delores Damm of Millington and brother James (Sandy) Moll of Frankenmuth. Brother-in-law David (Judy) Hunter from Illinois and many nieces and nephews. Special friends D.J. and Kelvin Mack, devoted neighbor Ms. Betty, and faithful friend and co-worker Mickeal Daly in Denton, Texas and Billy Powers' daughter, Trisha Wengler-Rubin.

Marlene graduated from Frankenmuth High School class of 1961. She married Alan Hunter in 1962 in San Diego, Calfornia while he was serving in the U.S . Navy. They lived in New Hampshire and Illinois before returning to Michigan in 1978. Marlene continued her education while working within the medical profession as a First Responder/Emergency Personnel with Frankenmuth Ambulance Service for about 5 years and then transitioned into Nursing Home Administration with Beverly Enterprises of Michigan up until 1986. She joined Texas Health Enterprises as Nursing Home Administrator in Michigan until she moved to Texas in 1989. She was administrator in several facilities with Texas Health Enterprises including Denton Development Center in Denton, Texas where she found her passion caring for physically and mentally disabled children and young adults until 2001.

Marlene then started Professional Healthcare Consultant Services for continuing education for nursing home staff on Geriatric Care/Administration Guidelines and Regulations until her retirement in 2009. She strongly advocated for high quality care and excellence for both geriatric and physically/mentally disabled patients. In 2006 she married her soul-mate, Billy Powers, who predeceased her in 2010. She was an avid reader and had a great faith in Christ. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran and Christ Lutheran Church. She was a founding member of St Martin Lutheran Church in Birch Run, MI and later a member of Denton Bible Church.

Marlene was predeceased by her parents, in-laws Leal and Doris Hunter, brother-in-laws Roger Hunter and Martin Damm, Sr. She loved life, lived it to the fullest and embraced each day with a thankful heart. 'I Did It My Way" was her life long attitude.
