Juanita "Nita" was born on Valentine's Day 1937 to William Noble and Anna Wyman Wright of Harris, TX, the fourth of five children. She married Billy L. Barber in 1955 and had three children.

After obtaining her Master's Degree at Sam Houston State University in Elementary Education with a specialty certification in Special Education and taught at Central Elementary in Lewisville, TX.

Following the death of her husband Bill, in 1997, Nita married Charles Wellman in 2001. Nita and Chuck enjoyed a Christian oriented relationship placing their love of God 1st, their love of family 2nd, and their love of adventure and travel 3rd. They shared many special moments but their most precious ones were those spent watching nature together from the back porch of their lake front home.

Waiting and welcoming Nita into heaven are her brother and 2 sisters, her first husband, Bill, granddaughters, Elizabeth Yeakley Canady, and Jennifer Yeakley and great-granddaughter, Miakailah Ramsey-Franklin.

Nita is survived by her husband, Charles Wellman of Onalaska, TX, her children Bill and Bridget Barber of Flower Mound; Charles and Kim Wellman of The Woodlands, Judy and Mark Yeakley of Bedford; Nancy and Sam Ramsey of Denton. Grandchildren Billy and Joanna Barber of Denton; Ryan and Madison Wellman of Fort Worth; Chelsea Wellman of The Woodlands; Bridgette Yeakley of Irving; Heather and Loren Thomson of Dixon, CA; Hershal Ramsey of Denton; Alexis Ramsey of Denton. Great-grandchildren William and JenniLee Barber of Denton and Logan Thomson of Dixon, CA. Nita is also survived by her sister Judy and John Drivdahl, of Waco.

Arrangements are pending at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home, Lewisville, TX with burial at Bear Creek Cemetery, Euless, TX.
