Ressa Louise Furche, 76, of Aubrey, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. She was born on March 7, 1937 in Wink, Texas to Hugh Barr Houston and Ester Rhea Frost Houston. She married Hugh Malcolm Branch Jr, who preceded her in death on March 2, 1974. She then married Charles Herman Furche, who preceded her in death in 2007. She was a graduate of Texas Woman's University with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing. She worked for the Denton State School for 14 years until her retirement.

Ressa was a great mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law who loved her animals and enjoyed caring for others. She also loved fishing and camping. We will miss her sense of humor and her cooking.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 18, 2013 from 6-8 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Pilot Point. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.

Ressa is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Mitchell, Evelyn McDonald, and Kim Woolman; sons, Frank Furche and Hugh Malcolm Branch III; nieces, Terry Asmus and Karen Gibbons; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Herman Furche and Hugh Malcolm Branch Jr.; son, David Furche; sister, Bettiglyn Houston; and brothers, Harold Kaley and Billy Alfred Houston.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Mukesh Saraiya MD, Dr. Richard Ammar MD, Chad Emmons and Rheema Medical Encompass Home Health, the Staff of Denton Regional Medical Center, and to Father George of St. Mark's Catholic Church.
