Reva Ruth (Witherspoon) Forehand passed away on November 9, 2013 in Dallas at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Forehand.

Visitation will be held at Denton Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 12 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm. The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm at Denton Funeral Home chapel, 120 South Carroll Blvd., Denton.

Reva was born November 20, 1924 to Floyd and Artie Witherspoon in Ferris, Texas. Glenn and Reva were married in Rockwall County on June 14, 1942 and later had two children, Christina McLain and Glenna Stephens Kintner (deceased). When her daughters were teenagers she began working as a teller for Plains Capital Bank. Reva and Glenn opened a teenage dance club in Lubbock, Texas where singers such as "The Turtles" and "The Uniques" would come to perform. They later owned and managed a Taco Bell, Baskin Robbins, Dairy Queen and Grandy's. Eventually they retired in Denton, Texas and had time to travel across the country.

She is survived by her daughter Christina McLain and husband Adrian; granddaughter Heather Breen and Husband Casey; grandsons Shelby Stephens and wife Teresa, Shawn Stephens, Shane Stephens and wife Sophie; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters Doris Hart and Evelyn Springer.
