Patricia G. Langford, 90, of Denton, Tx passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 15, 2013.

Patricia was born in Redhill, Surrey, England on March 18, 1923 to the parents of John and May Tobutt of Reigate, Surrey, England. She married John C. Langford on May 5, 1945 in Staffordshire, England.

Patricia's passion was helping others and touched all those that came thru her life. She worked with mentally challenged students while living in Hillsboro, Tx and also spent many years working as a Nursing Home Administrator alongside her husband John Langford.

Patricia was actively involved in many organizations throughout her life to include: Past Matron Hillsboro Chapter #769 Order of the Eastern Star, Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church (Denton, Tx), Monday Review Club (Hillsboro, Tx), North Texas Square and Round Dance Association, Girls Scouts, Sunday School Teacher, Church Youth Sponsor and Beta Sigma Phi Society.

Among her many talents Patricia enjoyed needlepoint, crochet, counted cross stitch as well as oil painting and scrapbooking.

Patricia is survived by her husband John Langford; two daughters Carolyn Stapleton and husband James, and Brenda Howard; six grandchildren, Michael Stapleton and wife Julie, John Stapleton, Stormy Bryce and wife Laura, Star Bryce, Christy Catarino and husband Saul and Kathy Rodriguez and husband David. Thirteen great grandchildren, Brennan, Mason, Zane and Alyssa Stapleton; Ethen, Devon, Sophia, Mia, and Lila Bryce; Jacob and Dylan Catarino; and Xavier and Rosalie Rodriguez.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church (1114 W. University, Denton, Tx 76201).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (Website: or a veterans service organization of your choice.
