Edith Fay Hamm, 77, of Sanger, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 in Denton, Texas. She was born on August 2, 1936 in Pilot Point, Texas to Leo Humphrey "Buck" and Nellie Ruth (Cockrill) Hammons.
On November 1, 1975, she married Harold Hamm in Denton, Texas. She was a member of the Lake Ray Roberts Elk Lodge, Ladies Auxilliary of the Foreign Legion and Chaplain Association.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Coker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 10:00 am. Leon Hayes will officiate the services and interment will be in the Sanger Cemetery.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Carla Shelton Gibson and husband, David of Rockport, Texas, Rhonda Shelton Ball and husband, Craig of Sanger; two sons, Russel Hamm and wife, Toni of Kruegerville and Timothy Hamm and wife, Raquel of Denton and brother, Sidney Hammons. Grandchildren are Candice King, Amy Chapman, David S. Gibson, II, Courtney Gibson, all of Rockport. Nichole Campbell of Oklahoma and Jake Ball of Sanger. Great-grandchildren are Hannah King, Hudson King, Cole Chapman, and Cannon Chapman of Rockport and Addison Campbell and Brecken Campbell of Oklahoma.
