Lola (Tootsie) Copeland, 83, of Denton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 11, 2014, just one day shy of her 84th birthday. She was surrounded by family as she peacefully left this world.

Lola was born to E. L. and Bithey Sons in Denton County. Lola along with her sister Ola and her brother Otis were the first set of triplets born in Denton County. She married Earl Copeland in February 1949.

She is survived by her sister, Ola Robinson, of Denton, her sister in law, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, her father, her mother, 5 sisters, and 4 brothers.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home at 705 N. Locust in Denton, TX. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 17, in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home with the Pastor Buddy Owens officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Roselawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Lola's Hospice nurse, Holly Morgan, for all her care and concern. The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff at the Denton Rehab and Nursing Center for their great care of our sister and aunt.
