Hazel Marie (Harrell) Ashcraft was born on August 2, 1915, in Fort Worth, Texas. On February 25, 2014, she passed away in Denton, Texas.

She married, Lee Hansel "L. H." Ashcraft in Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sanger and a member of the WMU. Aside from working in the home, she worked for Russell's Department Store in the Drapery Department.

She is survived by her children, Patsy Marie Dishmon of Ohio and Albert Edwin Ashcraft and his wife, Frances, of Sanger; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Gladys Appleby, and brother, Winston Harrell.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening, February 28, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Coker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Sanger. Dr. E. L. McNeal will preside over the services. Interment will be in the Bolivar Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Novus Hospice, 2595 Dallas Parkway, Suite 440, Frisco, TX 75034.
