Nancy Kathryn (Wallace) Trantham

Nancy Kathryn (Wallace) Trantham passed away after a brief illness on June 12, 2014, in Dallas, Texas, with her very long-time best friend Frances Zimmern at her side.

Kathryn was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma, on August 26, 1916, to Albert Lea Wallace and Barbara Elizabeth (Tate) Wallace. Kathryn came to Dallas to attend nursing school at old Parkland Hospital on Maple Avenue in Dallas to become a Registered Nurse.

Kathryn is survived by her two children, daughter Nancy McCullough, and her son, William E. Trantham, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends is set for Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Grove Hill Funeral Home, with interment following at 3 p.m. Also to be interned is Jill Diana (Currie) Trantham, daughter-in-law, recently deceased.

Kathryn's family would like to thank the kind and caring staff of Autumn Leaves and Magnolia Hospice for their support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dallas Police Department.
