Bobby Colton Perkins was born on August 14, 1996 and entered the gates of heaven on July 18, 2014. He was born to James Robert & Autumn Lyn Perkins in Denton Texas. Colton was a recent graduate of Slidell High School where he attended school since 3rd grade. He was an apprentice carpenter for Carl's Handyman Service while was awaiting the start of college at NCTC in the fall. Colton was very much an athlete, he succeeded in basketball, tennis, baseball, track.. You name it, and he did it with all that he had.

Colton was a human being in its purest form, and a very special and unique individual. He has touched many lives in his short 17 years. He was a very active member of the Bolivar Baptist Youth group. In this very group is where accepted Christ as his Lord & Savior. In this group is where he prayed, played, wept with & led his peers to Christ.

Life without him will never be the same again, it has left a hole that will never be filled, but we have to sometimes just admit that angels are needed back in heaven, after gracing earth with their presence, and Colton is certainly in that bracket.

You leave behind your Mom, who says: "From the day you were born, you were a gift from god, you picked me up when I was down, made me happy when I was sad, and you had a truly special bond that will never be broken."

Your Daddy says: "You were my boy, my son, my friend, my workmate, my baller, and someone who never had a bad bone your body."

He loved from the bottom of his heart, and with every fiber in his body. The only thing he never had here on earth were wings, you have them now.

Colton is survived by his parents, James & Autumn Perkins of Slidell. The love of his life, and future bride, Alexis Terry of Sanger. His brother Levi James of Slidell, His grandparents, Vic and Monica Burkham of Slidell, Steve and Debbi Williams of Krum and Charlie and Becky Perkins of Mertzon, Tx. His aunts & uncles, Joe and Jennifer Jonas of Krum, Trey and Jennifer Perkins of Midland, Will Perkins of Midland, Zack and Kalyn Fichter of Justin, Shane and Brandy Morrow of Sanger, Tx. He was also loved by a host of great aunts and uncles and many cousins and friends.

Pallbearers for the services are Hayden Crane, Tyler Maynard, Mason Maynard, Trent Garrett, Jarrett Tinsman, Khristian Talamantes, Isaac Davis, Walker Gladden, Levi Perkins, Mitchell Burkham, Shelby Vanover, and Dustin Davis. Honorary Pallbearers are Todd McCormick, Casey Pierce, Cody Vanover & Dennis Stroud.

Services will be officiated by Bro. Dickie Amyx on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 10am at Bolivar Baptist Church with his final resting place be at Bolivar Cemetery. You may visit the family on Monday, July 21, 2014 from 6-8pm at Bolivar Baptist Church.

The amount of love and support that has been shown has been truly overwhelming, but is telling us, as a family, things we already knew. Colton's favorite color is pink, the family has requested that you wear pink to the service.
