Carol Wardlaw Holden, 72, of Granada Hills, California, passed away Saturday, the 12th of July, peacefully with her family by her side.
Carol was born on January 29, 1942, to parents Carl and Frances Wardlaw of Denton, Texas.
Carol graduated from Denton High School and then attended Texas Women's University. Carol later went on to become a stewardess for American Airlines and finally full-time mother to three children: Kathleen Elizabeth Holden, Tracy Lynn Holden, and John Michael Holden.
In 2007, Carol retired from the Los Angeles Police Department's Property Division where she worked for over 18 years, proudly booking in evidence, warehousing clues, weapons, and property. During retirement Carol enjoyed reading, gardening and visiting with her children. She appreciated nature and all animals big and small.
Carol is survived by her younger sister, Phyllis Bonhard; brother-in-law, Richard Bonhard; and her 2 daughters, Kelly Parish of Eugene, Oregon, and Tracy Holden of Santa Monica, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A "Celebration of Life" ceremony and burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Chatsworth, California, 91311, on September 6, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.
