Jeffrey Walton Miller, our devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend went to be with his family in heaven on Monday, August 4, 2014. Jeff was born on August 7, 1951 in Denton to Russell and Carolyn Miller. Jeff married the love of his life Sharon Eichelberger in Boonville, on August 3, 1974. He was blessed with four children.

He attended Denton schools, Kemper Military School and College in Boonville. He received his associate's degree there and his bachelor's degree in business administration from Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO. Jeff was very proud of his military service and served in the ROTC at Kemper and also attended airborne school in Ft. Benning, GA while in the ROTC. He went on to serve as a captain in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He was a member of St. David of Wales Episcopal Church and the Elks Lodge.

Jeff was the owner of Lone Star Fence & Supply in Denton, formerly known as Hurricane Fence. He was an avid hunter, sportsman, fisherman, and golfer. He also loved to travel and go camping with his family and friends. Jeff embraced life and lived it to the fullest. He will be remembered for his laughter and sense of humor as well as the famous fish fry's he would host for his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chadwick Walton Miller and his father, Russell Miller. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Sharon; mother Carolyn Miller of Denton; sons Zachary Miller and Nicholas Miller, both of Denton; daughter Holly Miller Pennington and husband Michael of Sanger; three grandchildren, Tristan Miller of Little Elm, Wyatt Pennington and Blakely Pennington of Sanger; sisters Cindy Knox and husband Stephen and Sandra Strange, all of Denton; mother-in-law Gerrie Eichelberger of Pilot Grove, MO; sisters-in-law Diane Kammerich and husband Don of Pilot Grove; Teresa Hoeppner and husband of Higginsville, MO; brothers-in-law Hoke Eichelberger and wife Christie of Boonville; Marvin Eichelberger and wife Tammy of Boonville; Ardan Eichelberger and wife Stacie of Boonville; uncle Jim Hallinan of Alexandria, LA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Denton. Interment will immediately follow at Sanger Cemetery in Sanger, TX.
