Keep your family and friends close. Hug them and tell them you love them. You never know what will happen in life.

Brady Burger, 23, was cruising along Interstate 35 on his BMW motorcycle on a cloudy Tuesday afternoon this week. He was headed south near the interstate's intersection with West University Drive in Denton.

Brady probably never noticed the 18-wheeler chugging along in the northbound lanes on the other side of the highway. All of a sudden, two of the truck's heavy wheels sprang loose from the big rig and came bouncing over the median. They struck Brady and his BMW. He died at the scene.

We are among those who mourn his untimely death.

Brady and his family and friends had no chance to say goodbye to each other. He was there one minute and gone the next.

Somewhere in this tragedy lies a lesson for all of us. We leave it to each of you to think about what it means.
