Disturbing news
After reading the article in the July 27 issue of the DRC regarding Chick-fil-A’s stand on gay marriage, I was very disturbed.
According to the article, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino wrote in a letter to Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy, saying “there is no place for discrimination on Boston’s Freedom Trail and no place for your company alongside of it.”
Does he not know that the many conflicts that occurred around Boston were fought for all freedoms? What exactly is his definition of the word freedom?
It is my own opinion that Dan Cathy has the freedom to his opinions and belief and to run his business according to those beliefs.
I thank God I have the freedom to write this letter and I will support Chick-fil-A inits position.
Besides, I like their food.
