Unnamed dude

Bubba called. Said he can’t believe it. Somebody in this family bought a truck that was not a Ford. This unnamed dude will use this truck to haul his new 38-foot, fifth-wheel trailer. This dude will remain unnamed for his own protection, along with the type of truck he bought.

Thank goodness he lives out of state, way out of state.

Bubba has his eyes on a new Ford F-350 pickup. Says you just can’t beat a Ford truck for durability. He is moving the old F-150 pickup down for the oldest boy to start driving around on the ranch. The Kid will get the F-250 pickup to drive, and Bubba will have the new F-350.

Fox News reported that food stamps participants here in the U.S. are buying food in bulk and shipping it to relatives in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, etc. Why don’t we just issue food stamps to the world? Oh, right, looks like we are already doing that.

Food stamps cost the U.S. taxpayer $40 billion in 2008 and up to $80 billion in 2013. One in three people in America get some type of food aid.

Benjamin Franklin said, “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Makes you wonder with our phone calls recorded, computer usage followed and checking where our mail is going and coming from. Do we even have a choice here?

See you at the North Texas Fair and Rodeo, Aug. 16-24.

Alice Gore,
Denton
