ELECTION LETTERS

The Denton Record-Chronicle welcomes letters to the editor pertaining to the March 4 primary elections. Letters must follow all regular submission rules. Election letters must be received in this office by 5 p.m. Feb. 20; none will be published after Feb. 27.

Vote for Ruggierre

I have been the Denton County commissioner for Precinct 1 since 2009, and I have on many occasions had the opportunity to work with Paul Ruggiere in his capacity as mayor of the city of Corinth.

During that time I have witnessed his ability to tackle hard issues, provide leadership for long-term projects and build consensus in the community to solve difficult problems.

As a community that is going to face rapid development, we need a new modern leader for the Denton County Commissioners Court.

We need a county judge for Denton County who will bring the leadership and consensus needed to tackle the continuing problems we will face with our rapid growth.

Please join me in voting for Paul Ruggiere for Denton County judge.

Hugh Coleman,

Denton

Re-elect Horn

I am supporting County Judge Mary Horn and want to encourage all Denton County voters to do the same. Judge Horn has done a great job.

Under her leadership, our taxes are the lowest in the metroplex and our economy has grown during a time of great hardship around the rest of the country.

Her leadership many years ago to find ways to pay for much-needed transportation dollars has resulted in billions in roadway improvements and she’s been instrumental in streamlining county services.

Mary Horn is a fair, proven, effective, conservative who has earned our support. Please join me in re-electing Mary Horn to continue her great work serving Denton County.

Ron Gajewski,

Corinth
