Watts for mayor
Chris Watts is the epitome of the person we want to be our mayor. He attended elementary school and high school in Denton and graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s of science degree and a master’s in education.
Growing up in a family raised by his mother, Chris began earning in high school and paid most of his own educational expenses. At 22, when Chris lost his mother, he became head of his family and inherited all the responsibilities that came with it. He obviously understands challenges and the hard work necessary to tackle those challenges and achieve successful outcomes.
After college, Chris started a real estate investment company that has become very successful.
Through that, he has become very knowledgeable about Denton and how the various city agencies and departments work, an invaluable education in itself.
Active in numerous local nonprofits, he has served on the boards of CASA and Health Services of North Texas, is a member of the Denton Kiwanis Club, and has served on the United Way Bank On committee.
In his six years on City Council, Chris proved himself to be one who would thoroughly investigate the facts, listen to the residents and help craft solutions that would best serve Denton and its residents.
Chris was educated here and worked here and served here. There is no better candidate for mayor than Chris Watts.
