Political frenzy

Fox Fantasy News outdid itself in the realm of the ridiculous recently. It may have been the last week of April and they had missed April Fool’s Day but decided to make up for lost time.

Basketball great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar made an appearance on the O’Reilly Factor.

He believed he was there to discuss basketball outcast Donald Sterling but got blindsided by O’Reilly, who questioned him about his patriotism, as if being black means it should be questioned.

The rabid right is in a near political frenzy trying desperately to paint two Republican racists as having a touch of Democrat in their makeup.

Limbaugh jumped in first in an effort to cast Donald Sterling as a Democrat. His words were still floating from his daily show when the truth emerged that Sterling is a registered Republican (ouch).

When southeastern Nevada rancher Clive Bundy attempted a one-man war with our government over federal land, Fox’s Hannity lauded the fake and phony’s efforts, comparing him favorably to the Founding Fathers, until his racial faux pas.

Wearing even more makeup then usual to cover his oh-so-red visage, Hannity did an about-face and denounced Bundy unmercifully.

The Republicans and Fox failed decidedly to make hay from the Bundy-Sterling fiasco. What now you may ask?

It’s back to the tired, overplayed Republican whipping boy. Benghazi.

Who says you can’t kick a dead dog? It comes easy for Republicans.
