Leftist wolf

Once there was a “land of the free and ... home of the brave.” It’s people’s bravery that had brought them great freedom. Life was good, if not perfect.

The big, bad leftist wolf (leftism in general) said, “If you give me some of your freedom, you can have perfect lives.”

The people agreed, but their lives weren’t perfect.

The wolf said, “If you give up some freedom again, I’ll guarantee you perfect lives.”

The people agreed, but their lives weren’t perfect.

The wolf said, “Health care is broken. Give me your freedom to choose; I’ll guarantee you perfect health care and some choice: ‘If you like your doctor, you keep your doctor. If you like your current insurance, you keep that insurance.’”

The people agreed, but their health care wasn’t perfect, and millions lost the doctors and insurance they liked.

The wolf said, “Give me the rest of your freedom; I’ll guarantee you perfect lives.”

This time, the people said, “No.”

But the wolf said, “I’ll take it then.” He huffed and puffed and blew their house in. It had changed from a brick “home of the brave” to a straw home of dependent weaklings.

So the “land of the free” became the land of slaves.

Millions wanted to leave, but the leftist wolf remembered one of his best inventions, the Berlin Wall, so he built a wall around the land.

And the leftist wolf lived happily ever after as master of his slaves.

Moral: Promise anything, lock them in, dominate.

Lee Nahrgang,
