Letters to the editor, December 3

Sagging image

In answering the Payne propaganda [DRC, Nov. 6], the first thing that pops in my mind is the desperation I read to help the sagging tea party image.

Why not sense the stupid move to stop the Affordable Care Act and shut down the government drew negative comments even from Rush Limbaugh.

Limbaugh the lip, said, “I was trying to think earlier today if ever in my life I could remember any major political party being so irrelevant. I’ve never seen it … what they end up doing is creating one of the greatest political disasters in my lifetime.”

That from the news sources that most of the tea party rate as a little lower then God.

I don’t know the poll numbers of the tea party members who attempted to hold the economy hostage.

No matter what you claim, they certainly did attempt to hold the economy hostage and managed to do so during the government shutdown.

I would expect their popularity poll number is somewhere below that of the Arab terrorists.

You claim that, “there is the stench of marijuana mixed with body odor looming over the crowd.” Were you there in person — sniffer working overtime to arrive at that conclusion?

Albert Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.” How does that compare to 45 attempts of the Republicans to overthrow the Affordable Care Act?

Is the light now dawning? Do you see why we rightly call the lunatic fringe the lunatic fringe?
