Sour grapes prize

Our progressive colleagues are winning the sour grapes prize both nationally and locally. Don Duff won the runoff. But your letter writers continue to whine. Sad.

Paul Knopick,

Outstanding congressman

We have another chance to elect the most outstanding congressman we can ask for. I was very happy to see that our U.S. Rep. Michael Burgess will seek another term as 26th District congressman even if he has some unknown individuals seeking to replace him.

Congressman Burgess has been one of the most outstanding members of Congress for the past few years and we need him now with all of the problems we face with the sick advances of the opponents. Congressman Burgess has spent hours showing us the rules and results and working to ensure we have a good 26th District.

I am confident that he will go down in history as one of the most outstanding political reps possible. I am proud to say that I am in the 26th District and support Burgess.

Ray Roberts,
