Research before publishing

In the Oct. 20 DRC, there is an article calling personal liability insurance "murder insurance."

As usual when the NRA and or conservatives come up with something positive and sensible, the liberal gun-controllers have a rigor. The louder they cry is an indicator of the importance of what they are opposing.

Lisa Marie Pane, an Associated Press reporter, shows she needs to research what she is writing about before pushing a button. The NRA is promoting a personal liability insurance policy handled by Chubb and Lockton Affinity insurance. Prices are based on how much the customer feels they need to cover legal counsel and other expenses.

Liberals say that this will empower gun owners to shoot first and ask questions later. She also tags gun owners as being racist and ready to shoot any person of color coming around the corner without provocation. She tries to tie these actions to the NRA when there is no connection at all.

First was Trayvon Martin then the white supremacists at Charlottesville and then Dylann Roof. If she had researched this article at all, she would find that nobody would murder someone just because they had a personal liability insurance policy! The Las Vegas shooter had never been an NRA member. NRA members are stable members of a community and this country that gives it what it has stood for since 1776.

James Penton,

Help appreciated

We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the Denton electrical workers who came to Ocala, Florida, to help restore our power following Hurricane Irma. Denton Municipal Electric trucks were all over our area.

This thank you extends to their families as well. We appreciate them all and the sacrifices they made to be away from home to help people in need. God bless them all.

The Gallinaro family,

Ocala, Florida
