UNT offers multigenerational insight
2009-06-26 The University of North Texas hosted its first Grandparents University, a two-day program that gives children ages 7 to 12 the full university experience that includes selecting a major, taking courses and living in an on-campus dorm. A total of 82 participants throughout the two days selected two majors and took courses in 10 various subject areas which included classes in astronomy, art, music and criminal justice. Silver wings shine on at show
2009-06-20 Denton Airport will host the Denton Airshow Saturday, June 20. Organizers say it provides spectators with 70 years of aviation, tours and aerobatic entertainment. Special guests include Glenn McDuffie, the sailor from the iconic World War II Times Square Kiss on V-J Day 1945. Admission is $5. Captain Sully Sullenberger of US Airways honored in Denison
2009-06-06 Denison residents celebrated US Airways' Captain Sully Sullenberger and other hometown heroes with a downtown parade and ceremony on Saturday afternoon. Sullenberg was the pilot that landed a commercial airliner in the Hudson River, saving all passengers on board. Modern-day holiday history lesson
2009-05-26 Students at all Aubrey ISD campuses spent their bad-weather make-up day celebrating the U.S. military through a series of programs and fun outdoor activities.
