Developer O&S Holdings LLC has scheduled a Thursday groundbreaking for the first phase of its Bridge Street Town Center in McKinney.

The project near the northeast corner of North Central Expressway and State Highway 121 will include a 221-room Westin hotel, a 43,000-square-foot convention center and the Collin College Higher Education Center.

The Westin McKinney and Conference Center are planned as the centerpiece of the $200 million Bridge Street Town Centre mixed-use complex.

The first phase is scheduled to open in the fall of 2009.

O&S Holdings is a 16-year-old California-based real estate development company that has built mixed-use projects in Louisiana and Alabama.

The company currently has a 3 million square-foot Bridge Street development under way in suburban Chicago.

The 91-acre McKinney project has been in the works for several years.
