Honeywell extends Southwest Airlines contract

PHOENIX – Honeywell International Inc., a diversified manufacturer, said Tuesday it has extended a contract with Southwest Airlines Co. to maintain Honeywell equipment on Southwest's fleet for the next 10 years.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Under the extended agreement, Honeywell will provide aftermarket repair and overhaul services for Honeywell equipment on Southwest's entire fleet of Boeing 737s, which represents up to 520 aircraft plus future aircraft deliveries.

The equipment includes Honeywell's auxiliary power units, hydro mechanical units, avionics, lighting, mechanical components and wheels and brakes.
