Atlanta-based warehouse developer IDI said Friday that it will build a distribution complex in Lancaster.

The company’s planned Interstate Commerce Center South will be located near the intersection of Interstates 20 and 35. The building will contain 617,760 square feet and will be near Union Pacific Railroad’s intermodal facility.

Site work for the project will start immediately.

IDI purchased the property from investor Don Valk. And Pax Glenn of Glenn Commercial Real Estate negotiated the sale.

IDI has built more than 13.5 million square feet of industrial projects in North Texas.
