Four men were "hanging out" and playing video games in the 3000 block of June Drive when three suspects burst into the home shortly before 4 a.m., police said.
Investigators said the suspects went quickly to a room in the back of the house and apparently did not find what they were looking for. At that point, police said, the intruders shot at the men.
Two victims died and a third was wounded. Police took the fourth man, who was uninjured, into protective custody.
The men who were shot appeared to be in their 20s, and it was unclear whether they knew the shooters. Police were investigating whether drugs were involved.
Police also did not know the relationship among the victims and said the house belonged to one of the men's relatives.
Police were searching for the suspects, whose faces had been covered by bandanas during the incident.
