Pedestrian killed on Highway 360 ramp in Arlington

A pedestrian was killed Thursday while walking across a State Highway 360 off ramp in Arlington, police said.

The accident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. near the Abrams Street exit. A Ford F-150 pickup was traveling south when it struck a person crossing the ramp, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Medical Center of Arlington and then transferred to Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, police said. The Tarrant County medical examiner's office identified the man as Roy Drybread, 44.

The driver, Jesse P. Mendez, 24, of Arlington, was not injured. Police did not say whether the driver would face criminal charges.
