Tarrant County ME: Boy's drowning was accidental
04:22 PM CDT on Wednesday, June 24, 2009
Authorities say the drowning of a 1-year-old boy in a Arlington swimming pool was accidental.
Officers responded to a call about 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 1900 block of Primrose Lane, Arlington police said. Damion Salazar had been in the pool with several relatives when everyone, including the child, got out.
Later, family members were unable to find the child, and searched the house until a relative found Damion in the pool. The relative pulled him out and attempted to revive the child. Damion was taken to the Medical Center of Arlington where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Tarrant County medical examiner's office ruled his death an accidental drowning. Police said no criminal charges were expected to be filed.
