Son charged with murder after mom's body found in his kitchen

A 38-year-old man has been accused of killing his mother, Dallas police said today.
Keith Asbry Rose has been charged with murder in the death of 58-year-old Mary Rose, police said. Her body was found on the kitchen floor of her son's apartment in the 4700 block of Bryan Street near Fitzhugh Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a call from Mr. Rose, who told them his mother had suffered a stroke. Paramedics who responded saw injuries that indicated she was killed, police said.
The Dallas County medical examiner's office ruled her death a homicide. Police said Ms. Rose appeared to have been killed by blunt force trauma to the head and upper body.
