59-year-old man killed in apparent hit-and-run on I-30 in Fort Worth

A 59-year old man is dead after an apparent hit-and-run on eastbound Interstate 30 in Fort Worth this morning.
Fort Worth police said a man was found near the Bryant Irvin exit ramp around 1:20 a.m. His hat, watch and other belongings were scattered nearby.
He was taken to Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Tarrant County medical examiner's office identified the man as Michael Velmer of Fort Worth.
A vehicle description was not immediately available.
