McKinney gymnastics teacher faces child sex-assault charge

McKinney police on Friday said a gymnastics instructor has been arrested on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Ronald Smith, 35, of Plano is accused of assaulting a person younger than 14 in McKinney.
Capt. Randy Roland of the McKinney Police Department said the assault allegation does not stem from Mr. Smith's work at a gymnastics center in Frisco.
