Woman killed while trying to cross Central Expressway in McKinney

A woman who tried to cross southbound Central Expressway on Tuesday night died after being struck by two vehicles, McKinney police said.
Witnesses said the woman appeared to be crossing from the east side of the highway to the west shortly before 7 p.m. when she was hit by a 2002 Ford Explorer and then again by a Toyota 4-Runner. The accident occurred south of Eldorado Parkway, according to the report.
The victim was identified as Kari Anderson-Baum, 47. Her hometown was not immediately known, Lt. Scott Brewer said.
No charges were pending against the drivers, police said.
